Stone pelting and vandalism in Gujarat University hostel, foreign students allege, people targeted for offering Namaz

An incident of fighting late at night has come to light in a hostel in Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. In this, a group of youth vandalized the hostel. After this stone pelting also took place. The foreign girl students who were injured in the incident alleged that a group of youths stopped them and pressurized them not to offer Namaz. All the students injured in the incident were admitted to SVP Hospital. On the Gujarat University incident, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has tagged PM Modi, Amit Shah and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on social media platform Taking cognizance of the incident, Sanghvi has summoned the DGP along with the university administration and Ahmedabad Police Commissioner.

Five students were injured in the attack
According to media reports, stone pelting also took place during the attack on foreign students in the hostel campus. After this the hostel was vandalized. According to foreign students, the attack was carried out while they were offering namaz on the campus. Five students have been injured in this entire incident. The police have registered a case regarding this incident which happened late night at Gujarat University campus. According to the police, the accused are being searched. Some attacking youths have also been captured in CCTV. Congress MLA Imran Khedwala reached the hospital and met the injured foreign students.

How did the controversy start?
Information has come to light that a mob of youth attacked foreign Afghans and other students studying in Gujarat University late at night. Students have been beaten up after entering the hostel premises. Along with this, stones were also pelted at the students. The video of the entire incident has also surfaced. The police have made the guard of the university hostel the complainant in this case. Police force has been deployed in the university after this incident.
