Election Commission sent notice to Kharge and Surjewala, had made controversial remarks on Hema Malini

The troubles of Mathura MP and Congress leader Randeep Surjewala, who made controversial remarks on Hema Malini, are continuously increasing. Now the Election Commission has issued him a show cause notice for commenting on Hema. Apart from this, the Election Commission has also sought answers from Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge as to what steps have been taken by the Congress to follow the advice given by the Congress regarding maintaining the honor and dignity of women during public discourse.

Reply by evening of 11th April
The Election Commission of India has asked Randeep Surjewala to reply on this matter by the evening of 11 April. At the same time, the Commission has given time till the evening of 12th to Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge. The Commission has asked Kharge what steps have been taken to ensure strict compliance of the advisories given by leaders regarding maintaining the honor and dignity of women during public interactions.

What is the whole matter?
Let us tell you that a video of Congress leader Surjewala has gone viral on social media in which he was making objectionable remarks against Mathuri MP Hema Malini. The BJP had called it a derogatory and anti-women comment and had complained about the matter to the Election Commission. However, Surjewala had said that his video was cropped and shared and that he respects Lok Sabha member Hema Malini.
