Advisory issued for 8 states, heavy vehicles banned, know what things are banned
If heavy vehicles, tractor-trolleys are brought during Chardham Yatra, the Transport Department will seize them. The Transport Commissioner issued an advisory for eight states on Tuesday. It was clarified that music system is banned in cabs and maxis.
Music system can be operated in tourist buses only when its control is with the conductor. An advisory has been issued by Transport Commissioner Arvind Singh Hayanki for UP, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh. It was said that heavy vehicles and tractor trolleys should not be allowed in the Chardham Yatra. Here the transport department can seize them.
The maximum width of buses allowed on mountain routes is 2,570 mm, maximum height is 4,000 mm and length is only 8,750 mm. Vehicles larger than this will not be allowed entry. Under the travel rules, all public transport vehicles are required to have Green Card and Trip Card. For Green and Tripcard you will have to apply on the website. The fee for obtaining green card has been fixed at Rs 400 for light vehicles and Rs 600 for medium and heavy vehicles. Validity is till 30th November.
Big battery, LPG cylinder will not work
In the advisory, Transport Commissioner Hyanki said, to reduce the incidents of fire in vehicles during Chardham Yatra, there has been a ban on carrying big batteries or LPG cylinders. Music system is not allowed in motor cab, maxi. Music system can be installed in a tourist bus only under the control of the conductor. Everyone will have to have a wooden block to park the vehicles in the slope. Tourist vehicles must have bucket seats at the front of the vehicle for the driver and passenger. Under the cleanliness campaign, it is mandatory to install dustbin or garbage bag in the vehicle so that the passengers sitting in the vehicle do not throw garbage on the roads. It is mandatory to keep a first aid box for emergency situations.
