The doors of Kedarnath Dham opened as per the rituals, Kedarpuri echoed with the cheers of ‘Bam-Bam Bhole’, PM gave best wishes to the devotees.

The doors of the world famous Kedarnath Dham have been opened for the devotees today at 7:15 am as per the rules and tradition. On this occasion the temple was decorated with 24 quintals of flowers. The doors were opened in the presence of Shankaracharya Avimukteshwarananda, Kedarnath Rawal Bhimashankar Linga, Chief Priest Shiv Shankar Linga, administration, BKTC officials and hundreds of pilgrims.

Open doors of Kedarnath temple

First of all, the lock of the main gate was opened in the presence of the administration. After this the door of the sanctum sanctorum was opened. Along with the worship by Rawal and the chief priest, general darshan was started in the sanctum sanctorum. Darshan will continue continuously from morning to 5 pm on the first day. After this, with the opening of the doors of Lord Bhairavnath as the protector deity in Kedarnath on Saturday, May 11, Baba Kedar’s Aarti and Bhog Prasad arrangements will start in Kedarnath temple.

Baba Kedar’s palanquin had reached Kedarnath on May 9

On May 9, Panchmukhi Doli, the moving idol of Lord Kedarnath, the world famous 11th Jyotirlinga, reached Kedarnath Dham. Where the devotees welcomed the doli with shouts of ‘Om Namah Shivay’ and ‘Jai Baba Kedar’. During this, the doli was greeted with the devotional tune of the band of the 6 Grenadier Regiment of the Army. Panchmukhi Doli, the mobile idol of Baba Kedar, reached Kedarnath Dham at around 3 pm on Thursday afternoon after a four-day journey on foot.

Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Maharaj reached Kedarnath Dham

Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Maharaj reached Kedarnath Dham on the first day of his four-day religious pilgrimage to Badri Kedar. Where the priests of Kedar Sabha and Mukundanand Brahmachari, in-charge of Jyotirmath welcomed Swami Avimukteshwaranand. Swami Avimukteshwaranand also witnessed the opening of the doors of Kedarnath temple. After having darshan of Lord Kedarnath, he will leave for Badrinath Dham. Who will also be present on the occasion of opening of doors of Badrinath Dham.

CM Dhami had darshan of Baba

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Kedarnath Dham on the occasion of opening of doors. After which CM Dhami visited Baba Kedar and offered prayers. After this, he conducted an on-site inspection of the preparations made for the convenience of the devotees. First of all, CM Dhami reached VVIP Helipad Kedarnath Dham at 6.40 am. After this went to Kedarnath temple and did site inspection, then flew to Dehradun.

DM Saurabh Gaharwar gave the message of cleanliness by picking up plastic waste

Rudraprayag DM Saurabh Gaharwar and Superintendent of Police Vishakha Bhadane reached Kedarnath before the doors opened and took stock of the travel arrangements. Under the leadership of DM, a special cleanliness campaign was conducted along the ghats including Mandakini and Saraswati rivers in Kedarpuri. During this, he himself collected plastic and other garbage and appealed to everyone to pay special attention to cleanliness.

DM Saurabh Gaharwar started taking stock of the travel arrangements as soon as he reached Kedarpuri. Took stock of the helipad, main road, Aastha Path, guest house, Mandakini-Saraswati Ghat, Kedarnath temple complex, Shiv Udyan, hospital and other under construction works and security arrangements. He instructed the concerned departments to take special care of cleanliness on the yatra route and directed them to carry out continuous cleaning.

Travel route divided into 2 super zones, 3 zones and 11 sectors

Regarding Chardham Yatra, Superintendent of Police Visakha Ashok Bhadane inspected and gave instructions to maintain the traffic system. SP Bhadane asked the police personnel to conduct the Yatra successfully by making mutual coordination with all the departments. This time, for successful operation of traffic, from the district headquarters to Sonprayag, it has been divided into 2 super zones, 3 zones and 11 sectors.
