The doors of the world famous eleventh Jyotirling Shri Kedarnath Dham have been formally opened this year on May 10 at exactly 7 o’clock amid the proclamation of Jai Baba Kedarnath and the devotional tunes of the band of the Grenadier Regiment of the Army. Today, the process of arrival of pilgrims had started from 4 am on Friday in the temple premises and in the darshan queue, after which BKTC President Ajendra Ajay Rawal, Bhimanshankar Ling, Chief Executive Officer Yogendra Singh Priest, Dharmacharya Vedpathi and Kedar Sabha officials and District Magistrate Dr. Saurabh Gaharwar of the administration. The officers reached the temple from the east gate, after that Rawal Dharmacharya and the priests started the gate puja by invoking Lord Bhairavnath and Lord Shiva and at exactly seven in the morning the doors of Shri Kedarnath temple were opened. According to the programme, Lord Bhairavnath ji was worshiped at Shri Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath on 6th May. Panchmukhi Bhogmurti of Lord Kedarnath reached Kedarnath Dham on 9th May from Shri Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath via various stops. Shri Kedarnath Dham was reached on 10th May at exactly 7 am. The doors were opened. After the opening of the doors, the Swayambhu Shivalinga of Lord Kedarnath was decorated with a Samadhi form. And pilgrims started visiting.
