Foreign tourist drowned in Ganga while bathing, rescue continues, no clue found yet

A foreign tourist has been swept away in the Ganga river while bathing at Swami Narayan Ghat in Rishikesh. On receiving information, SDRF team is carrying out a rescue operation in search of the tourist. But no trace of the tourist has been found yet.

The incident is of Monday. According to the information, Pragnesh Ondhiya (59), a resident of London, had come to visit Rishikesh with his family. His foot slipped while bathing in river Ganga. Due to which he went out of control and got swept away in the river Ganga.

No trace of tourist found
As soon as the information was received, the rescue team reached the spot. SDRF team has reached the spot and is carrying out rescue operations at all possible places with the help of rafts and deep diving. But no trace of the tourist has been found yet.
