The police said that two unknown thugs knock on the door of a Thakur family’s house in Bariol village. Elderly woman Pratima Devi comes out of the house. After this, the thugs tell the woman that they are government officials. They have come to give money in exchange for the toilet built in the house.

Chain removed on the pretext of taking a photo

The elderly woman falls for the unknown thugs and calls both the thugs inside the house. Without wasting time, the thugs talk about taking a photo of the elderly woman and showing her the toilet. As soon as the woman gets ready to get her picture clicked, the fraudsters tell her that she will have to remove her glasses and the gold chain around her neck.

The woman removes her gold chain and glasses and places them on the table inside the house. Then one of the fraudsters takes a mobile phone from his hand and starts making a video of the woman. The elderly woman walks behind him with both her hands raised, while the other fraudster stands there. This entire video is also captured in the CCTV installed in the house.

Tricked on the pretext of showing the toilet

Finally, the fraudster asks the woman to show the toilet. The woman shows the toilet and then the fraudster comes out of the toilet saying that you put water in it. By the time the elderly woman comes out after putting water in the toilet, one fraudster enters the house with great speed and picks up the elderly woman’s gold chain from the table and disappears.

When the elderly woman Pratibha Devi returns, she sees that both the fraudsters are missing. Her gold chain is also missing from the table. When the woman realized that she had been cheated, she informed her son about it. The son informed the people of the village about this. Then with the help of the people, the elderly woman Pratibha Devi has complained about this to Kamtaul police station.

Police is now making people aware

Pratibha Devi was alone in the house at the time of the incident. Her family members live and work at other places. Darbhanga SSP Jagunath Reddy himself has also confirmed the incident. He told that on the basis of CCTV footage, the police is trying to identify the fraudsters and arrest them. Apart from this, he told that the police will also work to publicize such incidents, so that other people can avoid such incidents of fraud.
