Oxygen cylinder burst in baby care center, 6 newborn babies died in a massive fire, 5 seriously injured, investigation underway

There was a stir due to fire in a baby care center in Vivek Bihar area of Shahdara, Delhi late on Saturday. 12 children were rescued from this fire, out of which 6 newborns died. While one newborn had already died. Currently 7 newborns have died and five newborns are admitted in the hospital, one of them is in critical condition. It has been learned that the cylinder blasted during refilling of oxygen cylinder in the baby care center. After which the fire took a terrible form.
Newborns were taken out by breaking the windows
Let us tell you that on Saturday night at around 11: 32 pm, there was a fire in the baby care center located in IIT Block B, Vivek Bihar in Shahdara area of Delhi. After receiving the information, 16 fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. During this time children and staff were present in the child care center. After the fire broke out, there was chaos on the spot. After the commotion, local people also came to help. But by then the fire engulfed the upper floors from the ground floor. After which, people along with the fire department and police broke the windows from the back side of the building and somehow took out the newborn babies one by one.

All the dead newborn bodies have been sent to GTB Hospital for postmortem. Action is being taken against the hospital owner Naveen Kichi resident 258, Bharon Enclave, Paschim Vihar, Delhi.
