From Smriti Irani to Digvijay, Bhupesh and Omar Abdullah, these veterans lost in elections

The result of Lok Sabha elections 2024 has been released. The BJP -led NDA alliance has once again won with 292 seats. However, the BJP is away from the majority alone with 240 seats. Let us tell you that in this election, veteran leaders of many parties including BJP, Congress have had to face defeat. The names from the losing candidates from Smriti Irani to Digvijay Singh are included. Let’s know about the performance of some such veteran leaders.

Smriti Irani – Kishori Lal of Congress defeated Amethi by 167196 votes. Smriti got 372032 votes and teenager got 539228 votes.
Digvijay Singh – BJP’s Rodmal Nagar defeated Rajgarh by 146089 votes. Rodmal Nagar got 758743 votes and Digvijay got 612654 votes.
Maneka Gandhi – SP’s Rambhual Nishad defeated by 43174 votes in Sultanpur. Rambhual 444330 and Maneka got 401156 votes.
Bhupesh Baghel – BJP’s Santosh Pandey defeated by 44411 votes in Rajnandgaon. Santosh got 712057 votes and Baghel got 667646 votes.
Nakulanath – Congress strongholds lost from Chhindwara. BJP’s Bunty Vivek Sahu defeated by 113618 votes. Bunty got 644738 votes and Nakulanath got 531120 votes.
Omar Abdullah – Independent Abdul Rashid defeated by 204142 votes from Baramulla. Rashid got 472481 votes and Omar got 268339 votes.
Madhavi Lata – Owaisi defeated Hyderabad by 338087 votes. Owaisi got 661981 and Madhavi got 323894 votes.
Kalicharan Munda of Congress defeated Arjun Munda – Khunti by 149675 votes. Kalicharan got 511647 and Arjun Munda got 361972 votes.
Mehbooba Mufti – Mian Altaf of National Conference defeated Anantnag by 281794 votes. Altaf got 521836 and Mehbooba got 240042 votes.
Adhir Ranjan – Yusuf Pathan of TMC from Baharampur defeated by 85022 votes. Yusuf got 524516 and Adhir got 439494 votes.
Ajay Mishra Teni – Utkarsh Verma of SP defeated Kheri by 34329 votes. Utkarsh got 557365 votes and Teni got 523036 votes.
RK Singh – Sudama Prasad of CPIM from Ara defeated by 59808 votes. Sudama got 529382 votes and RK Singh got 469574.
