First meeting of NDA alliance: 21 leaders of 15 parties, Modi was elected the leader of NDA; President dissolved Lok Sabha

After the Lok Sabha elections, the exercise to form the government has started. In this connection, the first meeting of NDA on Wednesday was held at PM residence at 4 pm. Modi was elected the leader of the NDA in an hour -long meeting.

21 leaders of 16 parties attended the meeting. According to sources, NDA MPs will meet on June 7. After this, between 5 to 7 pm, he will go to the President to claim to form the government.

Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah and JP Nadda have been given the responsibility of talking to one-to-one with all the allies and discussing the nature of the new government. Meanwhile, President Draupadi Murmu dissolved the Lok Sabha after PM Modi’s resignation and recommendation to dissolve the cabinet.

BJP has got 240 seats in the Lok Sabha elections. It is 32 seats less than the majority figures (272). However, NDA crossed the majority figure with 292 seats.

Chandrababu’s TDP in the alliance is second with 16 seats and Nitish’s JDU is the third largest party with 12 seats. Both parties are necessary for the BJP at this time. It is difficult to form a BJP government without them.
