After the victory of NDA in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister for the third consecutive time on Sunday, along with him 71 other ministers have also taken oath. Apart from the Prime Minister, there were 30 Cabinet Ministers, 5 Ministers of State (Independent Charge) and 36 Ministers of State. With this, all eyes were on the division of departments, just a day later, after the first meeting of the Modi Cabinet held on Monday, the division of departments was also done.

Under the division of departments of cabinet ministers, Rajnath Singh has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Defense again, while Amit Shah has once again been given the Home Ministry, while Nitin Gadkari has again been made the Minister of Road Transport and Highways. S Jaishankar has also been given the responsibility of the Ministry of External Affairs in Modi 3.0. Earlier he has been the Foreign Minister in Modi 2.0.
