Petition filed in SC regarding NEET UG, court sent notice to NTA

A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court today amid the growing controversy over the NEET result of the year 2024. The students have cited several shortcomings and demanded that these NEET exams be conducted again and the current results be canceled. The anger of the students is continuously increasing against the exam conducting agency NTA. Today, during the hearing in the Supreme Court on this issue, a notice has been issued to NTA.
Let us tell you that in this petition, there has been a demand to cancel the NEET UG exam 2024, in this petition, there has been a demand to stop the counseling to be done on the basis of NEET UG result on June 4. The Supreme Court has issued a notice to NTA but has rejected the demand to stop the counseling of the students.
Petition filed by Telangana students
Let us tell you that this petition regarding NEET result has been filed in the Supreme Court by Abdullah Mohammad Faiz, a resident of Telangana and Dr. Sheikh Roshan Mohiddin, a resident of Andhra Pradesh. In this, a demand has been made to cancel the examination. After the results of the examination came out, many students of the country have taken to the streets.
Students made these allegations
Students have made allegations ranging from large-scale rigging to corruption in the exam. Due to which students are protesting in different cities of the country. The petitioners have alleged arbitrariness in giving grace marks in NEET UG Exam 2024. The petitioners have also expressed doubt on the fact that 67 candidates of one examination center have got full 720 marks.
What is the answer of NTA?
Let us tell you that regarding the allegations of increasing marks in NEET-UG, the National Examination Agency said that the Ministry of Education has constituted a four-member committee to review the results of more than 1,500 candidates who got grace marks. NTA has denied any irregularities and said that the grace marks given for changes in NCERT textbooks and time wasted in the examination center are the reason for the students getting more marks.
