PM Modi inaugurated the new campus of Nalanda University, CM Nitish expressed happiness
After winning the Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi is on his first visit to Bihar. Today on Wednesday, he reached Nalanda where he inaugurated the new campus of the university. This university is spread over 455 acres. It has a total of 221 structures. The foundation for its construction was laid on 19 September 2014 by the then Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj. Architect BB Joshi has designed the Nalanda University.
CM Nitish expressed happiness
On this special occasion, CM Nitish Kumar expressed happiness while welcoming PM Modi. He said that the ruins of the old university are still intact. Its identity remained as the center of knowledge. Earlier 15 thousand students used to study here. People from the country and the world used to come here to study. It was destroyed in the 12th century.
