What is the whole matter

Actually, the Kanwar Yatra is starting in the month of Sawan, in view of the preparation of which the UP Police has made some rules. During this, SSP Abhishek Singh of Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh issued a directive, in which the hotels, dhabas and small shopkeepers on the route of the Kanwar Yatra were ordered to write the name of the owners in front of their shops, so that the religion of the owners can be identified. Muzaffarnagar police argues that the purpose of this instruction is to avoid confusion and ensure transparency during the religious procession. In this regard, SSP Abhishek Singh had released a video message on social media X, in which he gave information about this and said that there is a route of about 240 km Kanwar Yatra in the district. All the hotel and dhaba owners on this route have been asked to write the names of the owners in front of their shops, so that the Kanwariyas do not have any confusion. Congress and Asaduddin Owaisi shared this video of Abhishek Singh and gave different reactions and attacked the Yogi government. However, later this order was withdrawn by the administration and it was said that if the shopkeeper wants, he can write his name on the shop, if he does not want to, he should not write it.

Who is IPS Abhishek Singh

Muzaffarnagar SSP Abhishek Singh is an IPS officer of the year 2011 batch. He is originally from Lucknow. Abhishek Singh’s early education took place in Lucknow itself. Abhishek Singh’s father was a lawyer by profession and used to practice law in Lucknow itself. In 2009, Abhishek Singh did his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. After that, he started working in an Australian company for an annual salary of Rs 15 lakh, but he did not like living abroad. He returned to the country. After returning, he prepared for CAT and UPSC. He got selected in both, but Abhishek chose UPSC. He became an IPS.

SSP Abhishek Singh has also been posted as SP of Baghpat and Pratapgarh. 8 years ago also Abhishek Singh was in the news for slapping a constable. In the year 2015, his father was injured by a constable’s jeep in Akbarpur, Ambedkarnagar, after which he died. Due to which Abhishek Singh beat up the constable, which was very much discussed. From August 2021, he also held the post of SP Lucknow in UP ATS for some time. Just in January this year, he was transferred to Muzaffarnagar. He was made the SSP of Muzaffarnagar in place of IPS Sanjeev Suman.
