Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate had seized bitcoins worth Rs 130 crore from the e-wallet of Banmeet’s brother Parvinder. After this, now the property of both the brothers has been confiscated.
The case is being investigated under PMLA
Let us tell you that ED is investigating this case under PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) 2002. Parvinder Singh was arrested by the ED on 27 April 2024 on charges of money laundering. Banmeet was not in India at this time. As soon as Banmeet returned to India, the ED arrested him too.
