Uttarakhand: Women Congress workers will march to CM residence on September 21, they are upset with deteriorating law and order and incidents of crimes against women
The Mahila Congress has announced to protest on September 21 against the deteriorating law and order situation in the state and crimes against women. Women will march towards the Chief Minister’s residence under the leadership of Mahila Congress State President Jyoti Rautela. The Mahila Congress has made a strategy for this.
Mahila Congress State President Jyoti Rautela said that on September 21, all the workers of Mahila Congress will march towards the CM residence by organizing a meeting in the Congress Bhawan. She alleged that incidents of atrocities and harassment on daughters are increasing continuously in the state. She said that in the last two months, incidents of crime against women have increased rapidly in the state. Due to this, women are feeling insecure. She said that more than two years have passed since the Ankita Bhandari murder case, but Ankita has not yet got justice.
Jyoti Rautela says that this protest is against the government’s negligence and concern for the safety and respect of women across the state. Jyoti Rautela says that after this, the Mahila Congress will run an online membership campaign as well as take out padyatras to make the state drug-free. He says that the drug mafia is making the youth addicted to drugs. People of every class are suffering the consequences of this. Women activists will take out a rally against drugs in all 70 assembly constituencies of the state. Congress women are going to every assembly constituency and start a protest against drugs.
