A Pakistani family was living in India as ‘Sharma ji’, one mistake and the secret was revealed after 10 years

A Pakistani family living illegally in Bengaluru with the identity of ‘Sharma family’ has been arrested. Rashid Ali Siddiqui of Karachi, Pakistan was living in Bengaluru with his wife and in-laws as ‘Shankar Sharma’. Police said that the suspect Rashid Ali Siddiqui, his wife Ayesha and his father Hanif Mohammad and mother Rubina were living in Rajpura village of Bengaluru Outer as Sharma family. They had named themselves Shankar Sharma, Asha Rani, Ram Babu Sharma and Rani Sharma.

The whole family was engaged in conversion

He was also engaged in converting the nearby Hindus to Islam, for which he used to get funding from Pakistan. Also, many local Muslims living in Bengaluru were also helping him, then suddenly a mistake happened and after 10 years his whole secret was revealed. Police have registered a case against all four and arrested them.

According to media reports, 2 Pakistanis were arrested from Chennai airport on the basis of intelligence input. They had reached Chennai by catching Dhaka flight. During interrogation, they told themselves to be Indians but when their passports were checked, they turned out to be fake. After this, when they were questioned, such a Pakistani family was found secretly living in Bengaluru, living there with the identity of a Hindu family.

The family was trying to escape

When the police arrived for the arrest on Sunday, the Siddiqui family was packing. During interrogation, he told himself to be Sharma and said that they have been living in Bengaluru since 2018. During the investigation, the family’s Indian passports and Aadhaar cards were also presented in which their Hindu identity is recorded. When the police reached inside the house, they found Mehndi Foundation International Jashn-e-Yunus written on the wall. Also, there were pictures of some clerics in the house.

Marriage took place in Dhaka

According to preliminary investigation, Rashid Siddiqui’s wife is from Bangladesh and earlier they were in Dhaka, where they got married. The couple reportedly came to Delhi in 2014 and later moved to Bengaluru in 2018. The two other people arrested are his in-laws. They were detained after a raid in Jigani on the outskirts of Bengaluru on Sunday.

Police are now investigating the network

A senior police officer said, “Our Jigani inspector investigated it and registered a case. Four members of a family were living here illegally on the basis of fake documents. Now a case has been registered and those four people are being questioned. We will take further action based on the outcome of the interrogation.” He said that they were living in a rented house in Jigani. They have got identity cards made in fake names. Police are questioning the arrested person about his network and activities.
