Uttarakhand Postal Department has released picture postcards, hidden beautiful places will get recognition

National Postal Week is being celebrated across the country from 7 to 11 October, so that people can be informed about all the schemes and facilities being run by the Postal Department. Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Chief Postmaster General Shashi Shalini Kujur said that the Postal Department has decided to issue picture postcards from time to time about all the heritage and beautiful valleys of the state as well as hidden places. At present, eight postcards have been issued in Chamoli region, in which postal cards have been issued on flowers and trekking routes and other things.
Shashi Shalini said that camps are being set up in remote areas of the state to reach out to the people about all the schemes of the Postal Department. Also, on the occasion of Financial Empowerment Day on October 11, Dak Chaupal will be organized in the rural areas of the state. For this, Dak Chaupal will be organized at three places in 46 divisions. During this, information will be given about India Post Payment Bank, Rural Postal Life Insurance, Postal Life Insurance and Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana including e-post operated by the Postal Department.
Chief Postmaster General Shashi Shalini said that work is underway on a plan to open 31 new post offices in the state. In view of environmental protection, solar panels are going to be installed in Rudrapur and Rajpur post offices. Along with this, a decision has also been taken to build a feed room for women in Dehradun post office.
