Chief Election Commissioner returned safely to Munsiyari, spent the night in a deserted village
Central Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar has reached Munsiyari safely. His helicopter has reached Munsiyari Tehsil headquarters. Let us tell you that the Chief Election Commissioner’s helicopter had to make an emergency landing in Ralam village of Milam Valley. Rajiv Kumar and others spent the night in Ralam village.
Returned to Munsiyari safely, all helicopter passengers are safe
CEC Rajiv Kumar had left by helicopter to understand the election process in Milam Valley of Pithoragarh. However, due to bad weather, his helicopter had to make an emergency landing. Along with Rajiv Kumar, Uttarakhand’s Additional Election Officer Vijay Jogdande was also in the helicopter. Both the officers spent the whole night in Ralam village. Since the people of Ralam village have migrated to lower areas due to cold, there was no one in the village. To avoid the cold at night, both the officers broke the lock of a house and took shelter.
When the weather cleared in the morning, the helicopter returned to Munsiyari with both the officers. Both the officers are safe.

CEC Rajiv Kumar has earlier also visited the hilly areas of the state to understand the electoral process in the hilly areas of the state. In 2022, Rajiv Kumar had reached Dumak village in Chamoli. For this, he had trekked 18 kilometers on foot.
