The date of by-election of 14 assembly seats was changed, due to this the Election Commission took the decision

The date of by-elections for 14 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Kerala has been changed. Voting for these seats will now be held on November 20 instead of November 13. According to the Election Commission, due to various festivals, by-elections in assembly constituencies in Kerala, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh have been rescheduled from November 13 to November 20. The results will come on November 23 only.

Decision taken due to this reason
It has been told that on the request of Congress, BJP, BSP RLD and other national and state level parties and to rule out any possibility of low voter turnout, the Election Commission has rescheduled the by-elections in assembly constituencies in three states Kerala, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh from November 13 to November 20. According to the information, the date of election has been changed due to festivals like Prakash Parv and Tulsi Vivah.

Dates of these seats have been changed
The seats for which the by-election dates have been changed include Palakkad seat of Kerala. Apart from this, the date of elections has been changed in Dera Baba Nana, Chabbewal, Gidderbaha and Barnala assembly seats of Punjab. Along with this, the date of voting has been changed in Uttar Pradesh, Meerapur, Kundarki, Ghaziabad, Khair, Karhal, Sishamau, Phulpur, Katehri and Majhgawan.
