In Uttar Pradesh massive fire in the pediatric ward of Jhansi Medical College, 10 children died, rescue operation underway
A massive fire broke out in the pediatric ward of Jhansi Medical College. Children are being evacuated by breaking the window. Many children are reported to have been burnt in this fire. It is being told that 10 children have also died. 37 children have been rescued. There are reports of more children being trapped inside.
CM Yogi took cognizance of the accident
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of this accident. He has asked for a detailed report within 12 hours. On the x, CM Yogi wrote that the death of children in the accident in the NICU of the medical college located in Jhansi is very sad. The district administration and the concerned officials have been instructed to conduct relief and rescue operations on a war footing. Praying to Lord Shri Ram to grant salvation to the departed souls and speedy recovery to the injured.
Due to short circuit today
Jhansi DM Avinash Kumar said that this fire broke out due to short circuit. A committee has also been formed to investigate this accident. It has been confirmed by them that 10 children have died. There is tremendous anger among the people regarding the accident.
PMO announced help
It has been said by the PMO that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund to the family of each deceased child in the fire incident at Jhansi Medical College in Uttar Pradesh. While the injured will be given Rs 50,000.
