The central government has sanctioned Rs 100 crore for tourism development in Rishikesh, the first installment of Rs 66 crore was released due to the efforts of CM Dhami
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for releasing a special loan (assistance) of Rs 66 crore to Uttarakhand under the ‘Special Assistance to State for Capital Investment 2024 – 25 Scheme’ on behalf of the Central Government.
The Union Finance Ministry has approved a total of Rs 100 crore under the scheme for various projects under the Tourism Department in the pilgrimage town of Rishikesh, out of which Rs 66 crore has been released as the first installment. While Rs 34 crore of the second installment, the first phase assistance will be released on spending up to 75 percent. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was trying for this special financial assistance for a long time, he had also talked to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman about this. Chief Minister Dhami has expressed his gratitude to the Central Government for this, with the financial assistance received, the government will develop Rishikesh as a tourist city.
