Swami Shivanand, the head priest of the Matri Sadan Sanstha, has reacted to the allegations of illegal mining in the Ganga in the Kumbh area of ​​Bairagi Camp. Swami Shivanand, the president of the organization working for the uninterrupted flow of the Ganga, says that the mining work in the name of the ongoing Ganga cleaning has suddenly stopped on Wednesday afternoon. Swami Shivanand has described it as a response to the contempt of court notice filed by him in the High Court. He also said something shocking on the issue of MP Trivendra Singh Rawat raising the issue of Haridwar mining in Parliament.

Let us tell you that since December 7, Saint Swami Dayanand of Matri Sadan has been on a hunger strike. Actually, Matri Sadan alleges that the cleaning and leveling work in the Neel Dhara of the Ganga in the Kumbh Mela area is being done through machines, which is a violation of the order of the Nainital High Court. However, after the work going on in the Kumbh area stopped, Swami Shivanand said, ‘Saint Swami Dayanand’s fast will continue till a written assurance is given to stop mining in the Ganga in the Kumbh area, and those who have committed contempt of court are not punished’.

Swami Shivanand said, ever since the mining officials received a 102-page contempt of court notice, the mining going on in the Kumbh area has suddenly stopped. In the contempt petition, he has made the Industrial Secretary of Uttarakhand, Haridwar District Magistrate, SDM, Mining Officer and the lawyer giving legal advice as parties.

Swami Shivanand said that it has been 6 days since Swami Dayanand’s fast. The administration sent a team of doctors at the time of Aarti on Wednesday. But he does not trust the team sent by the administration. Therefore, he also refused to examine Swami Dayanand. He said that this fast will continue till a written order is received that there will be no mining in the Kumbh Mela area. Along with this, those who have committed contempt of court and got the mining done will also have to apologize.

At the same time, speaking on the issue of mining raised by Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat in Parliament yesterday, Swami Shivanand said, ‘The way Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat was giving his speech. It was visible that how he is giving his speech while being afraid. Trivendra Singh Rawat has given this speech at the behest of those who want to remove Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in Uttarakhand.’

Let us tell you that the Nainital High Court has banned any kind of mining in the Kumbh Mela area. Regarding this, the Matri Sadan alleges that by disregarding the orders of the High Court, the state government is getting mining done in the name of cleaning the Ganga through Pokland and JCB machines in Bairagi Camp. However, a meeting was also held between the Matri Sadan representative and the district administration on this matter which remained inconclusive. At the same time, a hearing in this matter is also to be held in the High Court on Friday, December 13.
