Earthquake jolted Telangana, felt in Hyderabad too, people came out of their homes

An earthquake of 5.3 magnitude struck Telangana’s Mulugu district on Wednesday morning. According to the National Center for Seismology, strong tremors of the earthquake were felt at 7.27 am. These tremors were also felt in Hyderabad. After feeling the earthquake, panic spread among the people and people came out of their homes. There were no immediate reports of casualties or major damage. Officials are assessing the situation. Residents are being advised to remain alert during the earthquake and stay away from crowded or unsafe structures.
Earthquake shook the ground in these districts

Tremors were felt in parts of Khammam, Mahabubabad, Nalgonda, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Mahabubabad, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Sangareddy, Manchiryala and Bhadradri districts. The tremors were felt mainly in Kothagudem, Charla, Chintakani, Nagulvancha, Manuguru and Bhadrachalam areas of Khammam district.
Mild tremors were also felt in parts of Krishna and Eluru districts of AP. Officials say that the earthquake was felt mainly in the Godavari catchment area as well as the coal belt area. Officials said that the earth shook with a magnitude of 5.3 on the record scale.
