Nitish Kumar needs sympathy, not rebuke

a
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is not well. He may not admit or say that he is ill, but this truth is no longer hidden. Nitish Kumar’s abnormal behavior during the national anthem at an international sports event going on in Patna was seen by everyone. This confirmed the long-standing suspicion that he is not mentally comfortable and alert. The first sign of his illness became public the same day when two years ago he started searching for himself in his Janata Darbar. He was repeatedly insisting his officials to call the Home Minister. The officials were also stunned. No one had the courage to say that the person you are searching for is you yourself. Nitish Kumar is the Home Minister along with the responsibility of CM. The officials and leaders close to Nitish did only this much that the series of Janata Darbar was stopped.
Need sympathy, not rebuke
I don’t know why the leaders of his party JDU or the BJP leaders who are part of the government did not understand the need for his treatment when this illness was discovered. It is possible that he is being treated, but nobody felt the need to inform the 13 crore people of Bihar about this. As a result, Nitish Kumar’s abnormal actions kept increasing. The opposition has made it a political issue. The ruling party is making unnecessary efforts to prove him fit. Where Nitish Kumar needs sympathy for his condition, the opposition is trying to scold him.
Opposition leaders are demanding his removal
People have a common perception about Nitish Kumar that he is a serious leader. The opposition has made this sudden change in the nature of Nitish, who used to express his views in measured and precise words, a political issue. RJD chief Lalu Yadav has considered Nitish Kumar’s actions during the national anthem as an insult to the national anthem and has tried to put him in the dock by linking it to nationalism. His son Tejashwi Yadav is also mocking Nitish Kumar by calling him ill. There is definitely sarcastic sympathy in the voice of Lalu’s wife and former Bihar CM Rabri Devi. He has said that Nitish Kumar should now leave the post of CM. He should make his son Nishant the CM.
It has been visible since the year 2020
Nitish Kumar’s unusual actions were felt to some extent even when people felt his irritation for the first time in the 2020 elections. He got angry when some people raised slogans against him in a meeting in North Bihar. He had said that if you want to vote, then vote, otherwise leave his meeting. During those days, he had also said that this is his last election. When Tejashwi Yadav announced to give jobs to 10 lakh people in the first cabinet meeting, Nitish was also irritated. He had said that will Tejashwi bring money from his father’s house for jobs. Then considering these things as words used in electoral competition, people rejected the change in him. If attention had been paid to this at that time, perhaps the situation would not have deteriorated so much today.
BJP leaders are now speechless
BJP leaders are now speechless. JDU leaders are also trying to prove Nitish as a nationalist instead of finding a solution to the seriousness of the problem. While doing so, they are forgetting that this cannot be called proper treatment with Nitish Kumar nor is it justice to the people of Bihar. Nitish Kumar needs better treatment, not protection. BJP also needs to think with a clear mind that it is not good to keep Nitish Kumar as CM only for electoral gains. The misfortune of JDU is that Nitish Kumar has been in the role of supremo in JDU till now. No one has the courage to say anything about him. Even the officials around Nitish are not able to understand the seriousness of the situation.
Nitish Kumar’s unusual actions
Changes in Nitish Kumar’s nature have been continuously visible since 2020. Nitish, who reached the tribute meeting at Ashok Chaudhary’s house, threw flowers on him. On one occasion, he even bumped the heads of Ashok Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha. This year, on the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, he started clapping while saluting. Sometimes he tried to touch the feet of PM Modi and sometimes of BJP leader Ravi Shankar. He also tried to fold his hands or touch the feet of officers. He made uncomfortable comments about women in and outside the House. However, later he accepted his mistake and apologized. Perhaps because of these antics of his, the officers started keeping the media away from his programs. He was once seen folding his hands in front of media persons as well.
