Russian President Vladimir Putin (President Putin India Visit) will soon visit India amid the Russia-Ukraine war. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirmed on Thursday that Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to visit India. However, he has not given a fixed date.
Lavrov said that India is currently arranging the visit of the Russian President. The conference is being jointly organized by the Indian Embassy in Russia and the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC). The Russian Foreign Minister said that Putin will visit India at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Lavrov said, “Russian President Vladimir Putin has accepted the invitation to meet the head of the Indian government. The visit of the Russian head of state to the Republic of India is currently being prepared.”
Putin is coming to India for the first time after winning the presidential election
President Vladimir Putin has accepted the invitation to visit the head of the Indian government. “The visit of the Russian head of state to the Republic of India is currently being prepared,” the Russian Foreign Minister was quoted as saying by state news agency TASS. Lavrov said that Prime Minister Modi’s first foreign visit after being re-elected last year was to Russia. He said, “Now it is our turn.”
However, the dates of the visit have not been disclosed yet. Prime Minister Modi will visit Russia in July 2024, which is his first visit to the country in nearly five years. Earlier, he visited the Far Eastern city of Vladivostok in 2019 to attend an economic conference.

In July last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Russia at the invitation of Russian President Putin to attend the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit.
