‘Chandrababu Naidu is in favor of Muslims…’, TDP clarified its stand before the Waqf bill was presented in Parliament

Politics has heated up in the country before the Waqf Amendment Bill is presented in the Lok Sabha. Chandrababu Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party has said that it will support the Waqf Amendment Bill. TDP said that CM Chandrababu Naidu is in favor of Muslims. TDP leader Prem Kumar Jain said that the eyes of Muslims across the country are also fixed on the Waqf Amendment Bill to be presented in the Parliament.
TDP will support the Waqf Amendment Bill
TDP leader Prem Kumar Jain said that the eyes of Muslims across the country are also fixed on the Waqf Amendment Bill to be presented in the Parliament. He said, “Many people have illegally occupied about 9 lakh acres of Waqf Board land. Our party will support the Waqf Amendment Bill.”
‘TDP always protected Waqf properties’
Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu recently said that the TDP government has always protected Waqf properties and will continue to do so. He said, “When the government order was issued, unnecessary controversy arose, so when the courts were approached, there came a time when the Waqf Board stopped working. After our government came, we put a stay on that order. Taking everyone’s opinion, a working board was formed. We will protect the properties of the Waqf Board. We will work towards the economic upliftment of deprived Muslim families.”
JDU and LJP’s stance
It is now clear from the statements of JDU leaders that they are in support of this bill. JDU said, “The opposition is trying to mislead Muslims. There is nothing in this bill that would take away their rights.” Meanwhile, Chirag Paswan, president of another NDA party LJP (R), has said about this bill that the opposition is misleading Muslims.
