Excise duty increased on petrol and diesel
Amid the fall in crude oil prices in the international market, the government has increased the excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 2 per liter. However, this will not affect the retail prices of petrol and diesel. That is, the prices of petrol and diesel will not increase. Oil will continue to be available at the same price at which it is available now.
