After the death of 26 tourists in the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the central government is now in action mode. Meanwhile, the central government called an all-party meeting in Delhi today in which leaders of all opposition parties including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi participated.

At the same time, this Pahalgam brutal terrorist attack has been unanimously condemned in the meeting. The opposition parties have said that we will support every step taken by the government. In the all party meeting, the opposition parties raised tough questions to the government and said, ‘Where were the intelligence agencies? Where were the CRPF and security forces?’ Most of the political parties have raised the issue of intelligence lapse and proper security deployment there. Rahul Gandhi also asked why there were no security personnel at the place where the incident took place?

Central government’s response on Pahalgam attack

On this, the government said that usually this route is opened in the month of June when the Amarnath Yatra starts because the pilgrims of the Amarnath Yatra rest at this place. This time, the local tour operators started taking bookings for tourists there without informing the government and started taking tourists there from April 20. The local authorities were not informed about this, due to which no deployment has been done there. Because deployment at this place takes place every year in the month of June before the start of the Amarnath Yatra.

This incident is very sad. Due to which everyone in the country is worried, keeping this in mind, the Government of India has also expressed its intention to take more strict action today …”

After attending the meeting, TMC MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay said, “Security lapse has been discussed. We assured the government that whatever decision the government takes in the interest of the country, all political parties will stand with it.”
