Let us tell you that the serious problem of ‘bottle neck’ (narrow road) has been there for a long time in Muni Ki Reti and Tapovan area on the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway falling under the Garhwal parliamentary constituency. Especially during the Chardham Yatra, when a large number of devotees and tourists pass through this route, this area comes under extreme traffic pressure. Due to which many times a situation of severe jam arises. Not only the pilgrims have to bear the brunt of this, but the local residents also have to face difficulties in everyday movement.
Today, Garhwal MP Anil Baluni met Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari regarding all these problems. In which he informed about these problems. Garhwal Lok Sabha MP Anil Baluni had a detailed discussion with Nitin Gadkari on all these burning issues. During this, the MP put forth in detail the geographical conditions of Garhwal, the sensitivity of pilgrimage and the problems of the local people and demanded immediate action. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari took these problems seriously and assured that in the next fortnight, he himself will organize a high-level meeting in the presence of the MP regarding the road problems of the Garhwal Lok Sabha constituency – especially bottle neck, slide zone and dilapidated roads.
In this meeting, concrete decisions will be taken in the presence of senior officials of the concerned departments. This meeting will prove to be a milestone regarding the road infrastructure of the Garhwal region. The MP has expressed hope that this initiative will not only make the Chardham Yatra smooth and safe, but will also provide better transport facilities to millions of people of Garhwal.
