The action of the Transport Department against those who ignore road safety rules in the capital Dehradun is continuing. In this episode, the department’s team conducted a large-scale checking campaign in Raipur area today.

The officials of the Transport Department checked the vehicles by barricading at various places on the main routes. During this, one vehicle was seized for serious violation of rules, while 20 other vehicles were challaned on the spot. The department has so far collected a total fine of 35 thousand rupees.

The checking campaign of the Transport Department continues
The officials said that in most of the cases, not wearing helmet, incomplete vehicle documents, overloading and driving without license were involved. Transport Tax Officer Shweta Rauthan said that now no leniency will be given regarding road safety. Checking of vehicles will continue in the capital and other areas.
