Tension is over… Voter card will be available within 15 days of voter list being updated

It will not take much time to deliver the new voter card issued on making a new voter card or making any changes in the old voter card. For this, the Election Commission has issued a new SOP. In which after making a new voter card or making any kind of change, the voter will get his voter card within 15 days of updating in the voter list.
Will be able to track real-time
This initiative has been taken by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Election Commissioners Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr. Vivek Joshi in line with various measures being taken by the ECI for the convenience of voters. The Commission said that under the new system, real-time tracking of every stage has also been ensured from making EPIC i.e. voter card by the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) to its delivery to the voter through the postal department.
Link on ECINet platform
Voters will also receive notifications through SMS at every stage. Through which they will keep getting information about the status of their EPIC. For this, there will also be a link on the Commission’s recently trialled ECINet platform. Through which voters will be able to track their voter cards. This new ECINet platform will be launched soon. The Application Program Interface (API) of the Postal Department will be connected with ECINet for smooth delivery of voter cards.
