The government has decided to take action against doctors who violate the bond in Uttarakhand. These doctors are those who have been absent from their deployment area for a long time. For this, Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat has asked the departmental officials to provide a list of doctors missing from duty within 2 weeks. Apart from this, the officials have been asked to give appointment to the doctors selected from the State Medical Service Selection Board and to fill the vacant posts of doctors, nursing officers, ANMs in the department soon.

Services of doctors missing from duty will be terminated: Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat held a departmental review meeting today. During this, he expressed displeasure over the absence of doctors posted under the bond system from duty for a long time. In a strict tone, he has asked to terminate the services of the doctors absent from duty by taking strict action in accordance with the terms of the contract.

MBBS doctors are posted in hill districts for 3 and 5 years: Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that MBBS doctors passed out from government medical colleges under the bond system are posted in hill districts for 3 and 5 years. So that people living in remote areas of those districts can get better health facilities, but many bond-holding doctors have been missing from duty for a long time without informing.

Instructions to provide the list of missing doctors within 2 weeks: He said that the state government will not spare such doctors who violate the bond under any circumstances. It will also recover the amount from such doctors as per the terms of the bond and will also terminate their services. In this regard, departmental officials have been asked to provide the list of such doctors to the government within 2 weeks, who have been missing from their deployment area for a long time.
