Uttarakhand: Three Anganwadi centres inaugurated in Haldwani, these are the first schools for children

Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya on Thursday inaugurated the newly constructed buildings of three Anganwadi centers in Haldwani city area. The minister said that Anganwadi center is not an ordinary building but is also a medium to shape the future of Uttarakhand by making children healthy, educated and cultured.

Let us tell you that these Anganwadi centers have been built in Rajendra Nagar Pratham (Rajpura), Subhash Nagar IV and Damuwadunga Malli Bamori in Haldwani Municipal Corporation area. The cost of each Anganwadi center building in these has come to Rs 18.57 lakh. Minister Rekha Arya said that Anganwadi center is not an ordinary building but is also a medium to shape the future of Uttarakhand by making children healthy, educated and cultured.

The minister said that the initial responsibility of giving proper nutrition and education to children lies on Anganwadi centers. If children have a healthy childhood, the state will have more skilled human resources available. The minister said that after the recent appointment of more than 7000 Anganwadi workers and assistants, the efficiency of Anganwadi centres will definitely increase.
