73-year-old Usman was accused of this. On the night of April 30, at around 8 pm, a woman reached Mallital police station with her 12-year-old daughter. She alleged that her minor daughter was raped. 73-year-old contractor Mohammad Usman was accused of rape. The victim’s family lodged an FIR in the case. Meanwhile, a crowd of Hindu organizations gathered outside the police station. They started raising slogans.

After some time, the crowd started pelting stones in Bada Bazar on the other side of the police station. During this, shops were vandalized. Those who protested were beaten up. The crowd also pelted stones at the nearby Jama Masjid. Shops of Muslims were targeted in Nainital, Hindu miscreants resorted to violence against shopkeepers. Nainital was immersed in chaos for many days.
Now the neighbor of the ‘victim’ and the main witness of this case has taken a U-turn. She claims that she was forcibly made a witness in the case. She was forced to give a false statement.

The victim and her sister came here two years ago. After the grandmother’s death, the aunt lived in one room of the house and they both lived in the other room. The neighbour says that she used to work as a garbage picker. Even after the girl’s grandmother came, she did not tell anything. The victim’s grandmother took her and her sister with her. She says that the girl’s mother, grandmother and her sister used to visit the house of lawyer Seema Parihar earlier.

I did not see Usman doing anything wrong. I was implicated without reason in the court and police affairs. I was forced to testify against Usman.
Usman and his family say that since this incident, the police is standing outside our house. Usman’s son says that his father is a contractor in the city. His opponents conspired against him. An attempt was made to give a communal color to this whole case. Since this incident, the girl’s family has also been given police security.
Now imagine! If this case is proved to be fake in the court, then imagine how blind a gang has become in hatred. To what extent have they stooped for their hateful politics!
