On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, State Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar reached Ground Zero Dharali directly on Saturday on the day of Rakshabandhan. Here he took charge of relief and rescue operations in the disaster affected areas and closely inspected the health arrangements. During this, he encouraged the teams of the Health Department, SDRF, NDRF, ITBP and local volunteers. Today on Saturday, 158 people reached Chinyalisaur and 170 people reached Matli helipad, whose health was examined and they were safely sent to their destination.
The atmosphere became emotional as soon as he reached Dharali, when the medical staff and women expressed their affection and trust by tying a Rakhi to the Health Secretary. Dr. Rajesh Kumar assured everyone, “The Health Department stands with you, if needed, we will be here 24 hours a day.”
Reviewed the relief and rescue front, had lunch with the soldiers
During the inspection, the Health Secretary met the soldiers of SDRF, NDRF and ITBP and appreciated their spirit. He had lunch with the SDRF jawans and said that your spirit of service is unique even in the most difficult circumstances.
Meeting the injured, guarantee of better health services
Meeting the injured and sick people in Dharali, the Health Secretary assured that all basic health facilities will be made available immediately and continuously. He announced to prepare a long-term health plan for this area in future, so that no one has to wander for health services in disaster-like situations.
Inspection of relief camps and health check-up
Before reaching Dharali, Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar inspected the Chinyalisaur helipad and the ITBP relief camp at Matli. He interacted with the passengers and disaster-affected people here and inquired about their well-being. He examined the health check-up arrangements in the camps and gave necessary guidelines to the officials. During this, the female health workers present in the camp also tied Rakhi to him. The Health Secretary said that this dedication of our team engaged in service by staying away from their homes on the festival is unforgettable.
Health teams deployed 24 hours
The Health Department has deployed several health teams led by specialist doctors from Chinyalisaur to Dharali, who are engaged in examining, treating and helping people’s health 24 hours a day. The Health Secretary also enquired about the condition of the patients injured in the disaster at the District Hospital and instructed the Chief Superintendent that there should be no shortage in providing better health facilities to any patient.
