Group Captain Kunal Kalra, a brave son of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand and resident of Dehradun, has been awarded the Vir Chakra for destroying terrorist hideouts and Pakistani military bases while displaying unparalleled courage and bravery in Operation Sindoor. CM Dhami has congratulated Captain Kunal Kalra. CM Dhami wrote that the whole of Uttarakhand is proud of this achievement of Captain Kunal Kalra.

Our brave, brave soldiers have punished the enemies beyond their imagination. The kind of massacre that terrorists from across the border committed in Pahalgam on 22nd April, people were killed after asking their religion, husbands were shot dead in front of their wives, fathers were killed in front of their children… the whole of India was filled with anger, the whole world was also shocked by this kind of massacre. Operation Sindoor is the expression of that anger. They penetrated hundreds of kilometers inside the enemy territory and destroyed the terrorist headquarters, turned the terrorist buildings into ruins.
Along with this, the central government honored the brave soldiers who showed bravery in Operation Sindoor. Nine Indian Air Force officers were awarded the Vir Chakra for their bravery.
These 9 officers included those brave soldiers who played an important role in destroying Pakistani military bases. They targeted Muridke, Bahawalpur in Pakistan. They also destroyed the terrorist bases.
