Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is currently on a tour of Kumaon. On Tuesday evening, CM Dhami arrived in Munsyari, in the border district of Pithoragarh. On Wednesday morning, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami went for a typical morning walk in Munsyari and visited a roadside shop. While sipping tea, CM Dhami interacted with ITBP soldiers and local residents.
During this visit, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inquired about the well-being of the local population and sought feedback on government-run development and welfare schemes. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Munsyari is a beautiful, promising tourist destination. Its enchanting valleys, pure mountain air, and serene atmosphere exude a unique energy.
Earlier, during his overnight stay in Munsyari, CM Dhami interacted with local residents, listened to their problems, gathered feedback on various government schemes, and shared a blueprint for new development plans for the border region. CM Dhami said that the border areas of Devbhoomi are no longer just borders, but have become a symbol of strength, culture, and prosperity.
Our government will soon establish a Border Area Development Council for the development of border areas. Innovation centers will also be established, providing training and employment opportunities to local youth. During the visit, he met old friends and shared memories of his school days.
After sipping tea in Munsyari, CM Dhami reached the remote border village of Milam in Pithoragarh district. Here, CM Dhami met with the brave ITBP soldiers and local residents. On this occasion, CM Dhami said that the commitment of our soldiers dedicated to serving the nation, even in difficult circumstances, and the support of the people of the border areas is inspiring. During his interaction with the soldiers, he paid tribute to their service and dedication to the nation.
On this occasion, CM Dhami also discussed the central and state government plans for the development of border villages. CM Dhami said that the Vibrant Village Program is being implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Through the Vibrant Village Programme, efforts are underway at a rapid pace to connect border villages with basic amenities, provide employment to local youth and make these areas self-reliant.
