Samajwadi Party MP Virendra Singh, a close associate of Akhilesh Yadav, has made another controversial statement. First, he called Lord Ram a “socialist,” and now he has referred to Hanuman as a “PDA brother.” Virendra Singh claimed that Hanuman and the Samajwadi Party share the same ideology.

Meanwhile, the Chandauli MP remains firm on his statement about Lord Ram. In a conversation with ABP Live, Akhilesh Yadav’s MP said, “Those who are celebrating Makar Sankranti today are supporters of the PDA ideology, while those who celebrate Makar Sankranti on January 15th are followers of the Manuvadi (caste-based) ideology.” He further added, “Lord Hanuman is also our PDA brother. He also belongs to our ideology.”

Virendra Singh flies a PDA kite

On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, kite flying is a popular activity in Varanasi and the surrounding districts. In this context, Virendra Singh engaged in some political kite flying. He flew a kite with the name “PDA” on it and extended Makar Sankranti greetings to the people. He also claimed that the Samajwadi Party would contest the BMC elections in Maharashtra with full force.

Attack on BJP through the statement about Lord Ram

Standing by his statement about Lord Ram, MP Virendra Singh had said that the BJP only worships King Ram. He asserted that they (the Samajwadi Party) are the true worshippers of the poor, oppressed, and deprived – the PDA. He claimed that Lord Ram, during his exile, defeated Ravana with the help of these very people.

This statement by the Samajwadi Party MP had intensified political activity. Religious leader Rambhadracharya also attacked the Samajwadi Party. He questioned that if Lord Ram was a socialist, then why did Mulayam Singh Yadav order firing on Ram devotees in Ayodhya?

Rambhadracharya also claimed that there is no comparison between Akhilesh Yadav and Lord Ram. It is impossible for Akhilesh to become Ram in this lifetime. He further sarcastically remarked that even if it was a misstatement, at least the Samajwadi Party members took the name of Lord Ram.
