The Uttarakhand Congress has claimed that preparations are complete for the ‘Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao’ (Save the Vote, Save the Nation) mega-rally, organized by the Congress and the INDIA alliance in Delhi on November 1st. According to State Congress President Ganesh Godiyal, approximately 25,000 people from various districts of Uttarakhand will travel to Delhi to participate in the rally. Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Harish Rawat described the mega-rally as transformative, stating that it would have a significant impact on the nation’s politics.

Harish Rawat remarked that the mega-rally in Delhi would usher in a major change, noting that countless Indians wish to reach the capital. He added that the entire nation is eager to hear the rallying cry of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the powerful call of Mallikarjun Kharge. Leaders of the INDIA alliance will raise their voices in unison, and the impact of this will be felt across the country’s political landscape.

The former Chief Minister alleged that democracy and the right to vote are under threat in the nation. He further stated that the right to employment and the right to live with self-respect are also being compromised. A pledge to protect these fundamental rights will be taken during the mega-rally.

Godiyal: Enthusiasm among party workers and the general public

State Congress President Ganesh Godiyal stated that around 25,000 people from Uttarakhand are expected to attend the mega-rally. He claimed that there is great enthusiasm for the event, not only among Congress workers but also among the general public. Taking aim at the BJP, Godiyal alleged that the public has come to understand the gap between the party’s words and its actions. He remarked that those who offer sweet talk and engage in ‘Mann Ki Baat’ (monologues) are, in reality, misleading the people. He further accused the government of disregarding the interests of the citizens.
