Lockdown extended till June 9 in Telangana
The Telangana government has decided to extend the lockdown period in the state to June 9 amid the second wave of Corona epidemic.
Chief Minister K.K. The decision was taken in a meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chandrashekhar Rao at the Chief Minister’s camp office at Pragati Bhavan here on Sunday evening. In view of the second wave of the Kovid-19 pandemic, the state was first put under lockdown on May 12, which was later extended to May 30. Now it has been extended by 10 more days till June 9.
During the cabinet meeting, the concerned officials were instructed to remain alert and prepare an appropriate action plan in view of the possibility of a third wave of corona. The cabinet decided to relax the lockdown from 6 am to 2 pm, although all shops, offices and establishments would be closed by 1 pm. Those leaving for some work will be given an hour to return home, but the lockdown will be strictly followed from 2 am to 6 am the next day.
