In such a situation, it will take time for the monsoon to reach Uttarakhand. Monsoon is expected to reach here between June 15 and 20. At present, it is estimated that the pre-monsoon season may start from June 12.
He said that today on June 8 and tomorrow on June 9, the weather will remain dry in the entire Uttarakhand. After this, light to moderate rain is expected at isolated places in the Kumaon region of the state on June 10. Weather will remain dry in other areas. There is a yellow alert in view of rain in Uttarakhand on June 11. Light to moderate rain and thundershowers may occur at some places on this day. There is a possibility of thunder and lightning in the mountainous region. From June 11, the period of increasing rains will start. Light to moderate rain may occur at many places on June 12 as well.
He said that from June 12, rain may start at most places. Light to moderate rain may occur during this time. These days the temperature is running around normal. The maximum temperature is running below 37 degree centigrade in plains and 29 degree centigrade in hilly areas. At present, due to less chance of rain for two days, the maximum temperature is expected to increase by two to three degrees centigrade.
