Himachal Pradesh : Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones of projects worth 64 crores in Kullu district
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of developmental projects worth about Rs 64 crore for Manali, Banjar and Kullu assembly constituencies of district Kullu through virtual medium.
Jai Ram Thakur built 10.37 meters long double lane T-beam bridge on Sajla Nala on Ramshila-Naggar-Bhuntar Sainik Chowk Mohal road in Manali, District Kullu, at a cost of Rs. 1.20 crore, at Ramshila Nagar Bhuntar Sainik Chowk Mohal in Manali. 10.37 m long T-beam bridge over Nala at a cost of Rs 1.56 crore, 20 m long bridge over Kais Nala at Ramshila-Nagar-Bhuntar Sainik Chowk Mohal in Manali constructed at a cost of Rs 2.28 crore, Government Senior Secondary of Kais Tehsil In addition to the science laboratory constructed at a cost of Rs 1.66 crore in the school and a parking lot at Gulaba barrier in Manali tehsil, constructed at a cost of Rs 1.14 crore, was inaugurated.
The Chief Minister took up the work of upgradation and paving of Bastori to Nathan road in Manali region with Rs 1.81 crore under NABARD, Rs 4.98 crore under NABARD from Loran to Sarli village, construction of roads for cutting, dungeons, cross drainage and dumping etc. Work under NABARD, Bhatgran Mor to Khadihar road from Rs.3.37 crore, double lane bridge over Beas river at Rs.17.58 crore in Raisan of Kullu tehsil and walkways on Beas river, Langani to Chhuhara from Rs. 5.36 crore in Banjar area Road, road from Nagladi Nala to Nahi and Ghat villages from Rs 10.09 crore in Gram Panchayat Nohanda Banjar of Kullu district, upgradation and paving works of Baradha to Shangchan road with a cost of Rs 5.28 crore, sand-ra-ra at a cost of Rs 4.75 crore. He also laid the foundation stone for the construction work from Ghera to Tipri Shout road, a pedestrian walkway at Sarvari under Amurt scheme with a cost of Rs 54 lakh and a bridge over Jagrai Nala with Rs 2.12 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that today he laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 15 developmental projects, which would provide better facilities to the local people as well as tourists. He said that due to the corona pandemic, these projects worth Rs 64 crore were dedicated to the public in a simple ceremony in the presence of only 20 people. He directed that the work of projects costing Rs 56 crore for which foundation stone has been laid today should be completed in a time bound manner. He said that the State Government had decided to organize grand celebrations of the full statehood of Himachal, but these events had to be postponed due to Corona pandemic.
The Chief Minister also released ‘Swarnim Himachal Geetan’ sung by famous artists of Kullu district based on the theme of Swarnim Himachal. He thanked the district administration Kullu and the artists of the district for presenting the Golden Himachal song, showcasing the development story of the state.
Jai Ram Thakur also said that the State Government has ensured unprecedented progress in all fields during the last three and a half years. Almost all the panchayats have been connected by road and efforts are on to provide better connectivity in the inaccessible areas of the state. He said that the restrictions due to Kovid-19 will be gradually removed and the government will ensure that people adopt Kovid-compliant behavior. He said that the State Government was ensuring to provide better facilities for the treatment of COVID-19 patients of the State.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government is strengthening the health infrastructure in the State to effectively deal with this epidemic. At present there are 49 dedicated COVID Hospitals/COVID Health Centers in the State with a capacity of more than 3800 beds. 500 ventilators through PM Cares and about 200 ventilators of various brands received as assistance from different countries are being distributed in different areas. He said that 434 ventilators have been provided in various institutions of the state.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the installed oxygen capacity in the state is 123.21 MT per day and the current consumption was about 19.21 MT till June 20, 2021. Apart from Zonal Hospital Dharamsala and Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital Shimla, PSA plants have been made functional in state medical colleges. He said that PSA plants of 1000 liters per minute capacity are being set up at Maternal and Child Zonal Hospital Mandi and Civil Hospital Palampur.
Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur said that the people of Kullu district and especially the Manali assembly constituency would be grateful for the generosity of the Chief Minister. He thanked the Chief Minister for effective control of the COVID-19 crisis in the state. He said that in addition to the foot road on Beas river in Raisan of Tehsil and District Kullu, 80 meters long double lane bridge to be constructed at a cost of Rs 17.58 crore would facilitate smooth movement of traffic on Kullu-Manali-Keylang National Highway.
Former MP Maheshwar Singh thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating developmental projects worth crores of rupees in Kullu region.
