Recalling the sacrifice and dedication of the democracy fighters who fought for democracy during the Emergency, Chief Minister Shri Tirath Singh Rawat said that we respect the fighters who suffered for the sake of democracy. He said that the procedures adopted by other states would also be studied for how to give more comprehensiveness to the respect of such people. He also talked about giving respect to the dependents of such people. While addressing the (virtual) dialogue program with the democracy fighters of Uttarakhand on the 46th anniversary of Emergency by Nityanand Swami Jan Sevarth Samiti at Bijapur Guest House on Saturday, Chief Minister Shri Tirath Singh Rawat said that the history of the Emergency period tells us which In this way our people have done torture to protect democracy. The tradition of respecting the fighters of such democracy has to be maintained. He said that the arrangements being made by other states in this regard would be studied for how better arrangements could be made in his honor. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is working for the strengthening of democracy in the country. They are fulfilling the dreams of the fighters of democracy. Modi ji is working to carry forward the rich heritage of cultural India along with the glory of a strong democratic nation.
