After Jammu and Kashmir, now on July 1, there will be a brainstorming with the leaders of Kargil and Ladakh

On June 24, there was a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leaders of Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, now the Center has taken the initiative to meet the leaders of the parties of Kargil and Ladakh. Under this, the Ministry of Home Affairs has invited leaders and social workers of Kargil and Ladakh for a meeting on July 1.

Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy will preside over the meeting. There was no representative from the Union Territory of Ladakh in the PM’s meeting. A ministry official said, this is in continuation of the meetings that the ministry has been holding with representatives of Ladakh over the past few months to address their concerns about the security of their culture, land and language. Earlier a meeting was held with the representatives of Ladakh in this regard, but the people of Kargil wanted a separate meeting. He said his concerns are different. The meeting will be attended by both politicians and members of civil society. After the all-party meeting, PM Modi had said that he has appealed to the leaders of Jammu and Kashmir to give political leadership to the people, especially the youth, to ensure that their expectations are met. The all-party meeting was attended by 14 leaders of eight parties. Among these leaders were senior National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah, his son and former chief minister Omar Abdullah, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti and former Union minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.
