The capital Dhaka was shaken by the tremendous explosion, 7 killed, more than 100 people injured
At least seven people have been killed and hundreds injured after a building collapsed in the Mogbazar area of Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka. Metropolitan Police Commissioner Shafiqul Islam gave this information.
A gas leak could be the reason for this late night explosion. So far seven people have been reported killed in this incident. He said the injured included at least 400 people living in the building besides pedestrians and passengers of two buses. Two buses were damaged by this explosion.
Dozens of people were injured in the blast. Most of the injured were bus passengers and passersby passing by. Those injured in the accident are being treated in three hospitals. Doctors say that most of these people have suffered serious burn injuries. People living in this neighborhood say that the blast shook this part of the city. There was panic among the people. Broken pillars, pieces of concrete and glass could be seen scattered at the scene after the blast in the central part of the country’s capital.
