Wheat procurement increased by 11.89 percent compared to last year

The central government has procured 432.83 lakh metric tonnes of wheat so far. Never before has so much wheat been bought. The procurement made in this season has crossed the previous high of 389.92 lakh metric tonnes of wheat procurement for the session 2020-21? Whereas in the same period last year, 386.83 lakh metric tonnes of wheat was procured. Wheat procurement in Rajasthan has reached an all-time high of 23.19 lakh metric tonnes. About 49.07 lakh farmers have been benefited from the procurement operations at MSP prices in the current Rabi marketing season and a payment of Rs 85,483.25 crore has been made to them. The procurement of paddy in the current Kharif 2020-21 is going on smoothly in its selling states. Till 27.06.2021, more than 853.89 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured.

In the current Kharif marketing season, about 125.99 lakh farmers have already been benefited from the procurement work by paying Rs 1,61,213.98 crore on MSP price. Paddy procurement has also reached an all-time high and has crossed the previous high of 773.45 lakh metric tonnes of Kharif marketing season 2019-20.
