Uttarakhand / Vikas Nagar : Celebrated Van Mahotsav with enthusiasm
Van Mahotsav was celebrated with gaiety in Deoghar, Bawar, Jadi and Molta ranges of Chakrata Forest Division. Forest officers and employees took a pledge to protect them by planting hundreds of saplings. Awareness programs related to plantation were also organized at various places. On Thursday morning, Van Mahotsav was started on behalf of Deoghar range by planting saplings in Tuni police station premises. As chief guest, SHO Sandeep Panwar and Forest Officer Yashpal Singh Rathore started the program by planting saplings in the police station premises. SHO Sandeep Panwar, while highlighting the importance of plantation, emphasized on environmental protection. Along with the existing forest personnel, he also motivated the police personnel towards plantation. After this, the forest personnel took a pledge to protect them by planting saplings at different places in the Molta, Jadi and Bawar ranges, apart from the Deoghar range. On this occasion, Forest Officer Molta Dinesh Nautiyal, Bawar Range Harish Gairola, Chatar Singh Chauhan, Harpal Negi, Madan Shah, Jaidas, Sudhir Bhatt, Gabbar Singh Rawat, Bhim Singh, Bhagat Rana, Jawahar Singh, Ramesh, Dinesh Panwar, Kripal, Ramu , Daulatram etc. were present.
