Brittany’s appeal to remove her father as guardian rejected
A Los Angeles court has once again rejected American pop singer Britney Spears’ request to remove her father, James Spears, as her mentor.
“A request to suspend James P Spears as custodian has been denied without prejudice immediately after appointing the Bessemer Trust Company of California as the sole custodian of the assets,” court documents said.
The court ruled that Britney Spears is reportedly still unable to effectively manage her financial resources and resist undue influence. However, it retained the right to present fresh petitions.
Britney Spears filed another request last November to absolve herself of patronage but the court again sided with her father. Currently, the singer’s finances are managed by James Spears and Bessemer Trust financials.com.
