Angry over the non-starting of the promotion process for a long time, the instructors and work-orders of the Government Industrial Training Institute started a phased agitation from Tuesday. In the first phase of the agitation, the employees protested against the state government by wearing black tape. By July 12, the employees will register a protest by wearing black tape. Instructors and executives, who lodged a protest in the State Industrial Training Institute, Vikasnagar, by imposing black tape, said that there has been an undeclared ban on the promotion of employees working in the institutes for a long time. The employees are waiting for promotion from Instructor to Work Order, Principal of Work Order to the posts of Category-II. Similarly, the promotion process from Assistant Bhandari to Bhandari post is also not being started. There is resentment among the employees who are eligible for promotion. Many employees are retiring without getting promotion. Said that the Labor Minister including the Director of Labor Employment has been demanded several times to start the promotion process. Due to non-starting of promotion process, new recruitment is also not starting in these institutes. Said that after promotion from Instructor to Executive Director, many posts of Instructor will become vacant, due to which the youth will also get employment opportunities. Told that along with this, many cases of employees are pending at the Directorate and Government level for a long time. Told that now the agitation will be ended only after action is taken on promotion and all other pending problems. In the first phase of the movement, a protest will be lodged by tying black tape till July 12. Its photos will be sent to the Director and Labor Minister through social media. Whereas after July 12, the employees will keep themselves separate from the admission process and annual examinations.
